No, I would rather look at two cities in OUR COUNTRY, one with strict gun control, one without it, and examine the difference in gun crime. To me that makes a lot more sense that comparing an American city to a foreign city. American culture, history, laws, society....all very different from Europe. Bad comparison.
Phoenix has CCW without a permit, open carry, and a castle doctrine. Our violent crime rate is tiny compared to Chicago per capita. Either state could import guns, and Phoenix already has them here. So why is the Chicago gun crime rate so much higher? Because honest citizens are left unarmed to face armed criminals, making crime much more convenient for the criminals. This isn't complicated people, really.

If you would take the time to actually study, extensively, the statistics keep by the FBI and the US Dept. of Justice, you would know that there is no crimes committed by people who have lawful licenses to carry concealed weapons. Here is another fact for you, did you know that no once, repeat, not once in over 80 years has a licensed Machinegun EVER been used in the commission of a crime...ANY CRIME !!!! Further, despite all the media hula regarding assualt weapons you will find that the majority, over 92-95%, of all, ALL, gun crime is committed by handguns of 9mm caliber or less, actually the bult are .38's, .25's, and .22's.......NOT ASSUALT RIFLES !!!! Seperate propoganda from facts.....unless you are afraid of the TRUTH.
